In front of a largely-deserted stadium, Algerian soccet teal, the 1990 winner struggled to create clear-cut chances against Malawi, whose only previous appearance at the Africa Cup finals was in 1984. Malawi beats Algeria 3 -0 in today's game. Making their first appearance in the competition for 26 years, Malawi comfortably beat the Desert Foxes, who will play England in the World Cup this summer. |

| The Obama administration has announced that citizens of 14 selected countries—as well as travelers whose itineraries have taken them through any of these countries—will be subjected to enhanced scrutiny before they board planes to the United States, including full-body pat-downs. The countries comprise four “state sponsors of terrorism” (Cuba, Iran, Sudan, and Syria) and 10 “countries of interest,” a euphemism for terrorist breeding grounds. These last are Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and Yemen. |

| As any other ethnic group living in America Algerian Americans are exposed to the mass media 24 hours a day whether they are culturally isolated, linguistically isolated, fresh out of the boat, (FOB) or leave in a basement without a T.V. set (not quiet happening yet).
