The Algerian American Community through the Algerian American Association of Greater Washington and Dr. Azzedine Stambouli have helped many kids and brought back hope to many families.

Dr. Azzedine Stambouli in collaboration with his network of Medical Experts in the USA, the Algerian baby Abderrahmane, three months old with the same disease (Spina Bifida) as Mounib, Ayoub and Khadidja, has been admited to The Medical College Center in Augusta - Georgia for treatment. He and his parents arrived on January 16th to Atlanta, Georgia and resided at the Ronald Mc Donald House. Professor Choudhri performed four successful surgeries since January 20th. During the month of February, baby Abderrahmane had successful follow-ups with Dr. Choudhri.
The Algerian American community is thankful to all people who have helped in this initiative:
* The Medical College of Georgia,
* Professor Haroon F. Choudhri,
* Mr. Chris Bonham Administrative, Director of MCG Neuroscience Center of Excellence,
* All Algerian Employees at Al Jazeerah TV,
* And of course Dr. Azzedine Stambouli and Elias for all their efforts in making these difficult cases possible.
* Mr. Merzak who transported the family from Atlanta to Augusta and hosted them for one night. (Almost three hours drive).
* Mr. Foudhil also served as the family interpreter.
* Bernadette Ginested for being a big support of baby Abderrahmane.
On February 24, 2010, the family went back to Algeria.
As an appreciation to all, the family sent testominial and gratitude video messages. This should be an inspiration and Abderrahme's case like Mounib, Ayoub and Khadidja brings hope to all the children with Spina Bifida.
A thank you message from Mr. Rafik Bouchaaboub
