Dr. Stambouli was born in Fez Morocco from Algerian descent. He earned his medical degree at the University Of Algiers School Of Medicine in 1987
On the same year he decided to complete his medical study in France, where he traveled to Paris and spent 7 years, in achieving his higher education, he obtain his first diploma in radiology DIS (Diplome inter-universitaire) from Cochin Port Royal Hospital in 1992, and worked as physician associate in Lariboisiere Medical center than moved to Blois Medical center where he was the attending physician and providing the medical care to patients in the following areas , Emergency Room, Radiology, General Medicine and Geriatrics.
He came to the United States at the age 36, for a new adventure, where he started in volunteering as clinical research assistant in Georgetown Hospital monitoring patient during chemotherapy trials.
His first real job in the US was in 1995 as consulting and a case Manager in an international medical institution (UAE) where he coordinated Middle Eastern Patients to the health care System throughout the USA in different specialties.
In 1998, he moved to Durham, North Carolina to the prestigious university of Duke Medical center that was among the people who created an International Patient Center and worked as the International Medicine Referral Development Manager. He established and maintained a broad network of contacts with physicians, government agencies and sponsors. He developed working relationships with a broad base of Duke Physicians and Clinicians and served as connection between Duke Physicians and oversees physicians.
In 2003, He was called by his colleague Pr.Pierre Clavien to create an International Patients services in Zurich, Switzerland as the Program Director at the Zurich University Hospital and in 2005, became the Medical Director of Swiss Inter-health System a private company www.swissinterhealth.ch in dealing with counseling patients in specific health problems and issues including prognosis and the best available possibilities of treatment.
In 2007, he was nominated as the medical advisor at the UAE Medical office in Washington DC, USA, dealing and following the care of more than 300 patients, reviewing medical record and referring patients to appropriate best medical institution throughout the United States.
Based on the extended network in the US and through the Algerian American Association, he was one of a team player responsible of life saving operation in finding a US Medical institution to accept a charity care for three sick children. One of his Challenging cases was the emergency transfer of an Algerian child called Mounib with Spina Bifida by Air Ambulance from Algiers to Rochester, MN in Mayo Clinic in a most critical situation. Two other Algerian children came through commercial flight from Algiers. One of the two children, Ayoub Hamdi was accepted in St Vincent Mercy Children Hospital, Toledo Ohio, and the other child, Khadidja Zidi was accepted by Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. All of them were suffering from the most serious form of Spina Bifida and have been recovered after successful surgeries.
His future goal, is to be able to convince the Algerian healthcare professionals and Neurosurgeons to adopt the advanced approaches and the standards of excellence adopted in The United States healthcare system to ensure the continuum of care dedicated to the most complicated diseases, and also open the door to the transfer of the cutting edge techniques that will improve the health of Algerian children with spina bifida in particular and to ease the suffering children as much as possible not only in Algeria , but in Morocco, Egypt and some African Countries.

I love these kind of stories and they mean alot to me, helping children is something that any body appreciate. I saw myself sick children and I was sick seeing them.
